Ivor’s Daily Gallivant Sunday October 22, 2023 The alarm went off- I ignored it for a while and then got up. It was cold but the sun shone brightly I had a ham sandwich, an apple and a cup of tea. ‘How best to put this day to good use?’ I wondered as I drank my tea. First, write a ‘to do list’ I decided. To Do list (1) Continue working the housework. (2) Do some more to my painting. (3) Spray the traffic cone for the Christmas Tree project. (4) Do some shopping in Hythe (done) I did some homework for a few minutes but without any zeal. The place looks a mess, and I don’t care. I’m in a state of suspended animation just sat with my tea. In need enthusiasm, passion, zeal, energy, vitality, and get up and go. Time to write a few lines of doggerel, I decided. Sitters around moaning will get me nowhere…. I can’t even muster any real disappear. Just finishing my utterances with Yeah, yeah yeah. (Hum I feel better for that) After a while I snapped out of it and went to Hythe to get some shopping. The weather was superb, and I walked past Alfalfa and decided to venture inside. I did and had a Dialonia Pizza with salad and boy it was good. After my meal I waddled on to Lidl and did some more shopping, I wanted to make some ratatouille and Bobotie and bought the appropriate ingredients, plus tins of soup, granola and apples. When I got home, I sprayed the abandoned traffic cone green and it’s now looking just like (well almost like) a mini- Christmas tree.
